800 Series Waterproof Wireless Phone Charger

I recently purchased and installed the 800 Series Waterproof Wireless Phone Charger in my boat. I have only used it once so far, but it worked flawlessly and charged my phone without any issues. It’s a great addition to the dash and eliminates the need for a charging cable, which keeps the helm area much cleaner and more organized.

I’ll admit I was initially reluctant to purchase because there was only one review online. I decided to call the company before ordering and spoke with a representative who explained that they had primarily sold to OEM manufacturers in the past and had only recently begun offering the product directly to retail customers. He took the time to answer all of my installation questions, including recommending the correct size hole saw to use. He even followed up several days later to check if I was able to get the unit installed. That level of customer service really stood out and gave me confidence in the purchase.

The vendor is located in the Tampa area, just up the road from me, and I had the item the very next day, which was another big plus.

During installation, I ran into one issue that’s worth mentioning. I didn’t think to check the thickness of my fiberglass dash against the threaded mounting depth of the charger. The dash turned out to be too thick, and there weren’t enough exposed threads to secure the locknut. As a workaround, I used superglue to secure the unit in place, which worked fine in my situation. I would recommend measuring your dash thickness beforehand to avoid this issue.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the purchase. The charger looks great, performs as expected, and the customer service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it—just be sure to plan ahead for mounting depth during installation.
